Compact yet precise, the YG1 33558TF features a 1/8″ diameter and 1/4″ length of cut in a solid carbide finishing end mill. Its 4-flute design, combined with a 30° helix angle and YG TiAlN Futura coating, delivers excellent abrasion resistance and efficient chip evacuation, making it well-suited for the abrasive conditions of cast iron finishing. The stub length adds rigidity, reducing deflection during detailed milling tasks. This tool’s coating and geometry align with recommended parameters for gray cast iron roughing and finishing, where abrasion resistance and edge retention are essential. The 4-flute arrangement balances feed rates with surface finish, while the 30° helix angle promotes smooth chip flow and vibration dampening. Non-ferrous materials should be avoided with this tool due to coating unsuitability, which can cause premature wear.
