Applications

For moderate reach finishing tasks, the YG1 07572TN solid carbide end mill combines a 15/64″ diameter with a 3/4″ length of cut and four flutes, delivering rigidity and precise cutting suitable for steel and cast iron. The 30° helix angle and four-flute configuration optimize chip evacuation while maintaining edge strength, minimizing deflection and enhancing surface finish.
Equipped with a TiN coating, this tool improves wear resistance and thermal stability during general milling of free-machining steel. Its geometry is particularly effective in low carbon steel slotting, balancing chip clearance with rigidity. Absence of a corner radius requires careful handling to avoid chipping when cutting is interrupted.
