The combination of a 45° helix angle with five flutes improves chip evacuation and surface finish, while the Hardslick coating minimizes built-up edge and wear in demanding materials. This end mill’s geometry and coating are optimized for finishing tasks where smooth surfaces and precise dimensions are essential. The sharp edges without a corner radius require careful feed control to avoid chipping. Additionally, the center-cutting feature enables plunge cuts and slotting in suitable materials. Because the Hardslick coating is not well suited for use with steel (ISO P) and non-ferrous metals (ISO N), this tool should not be used on those materials to avoid rapid degradation.
