Applications

The YG1 07576TE finishing end mill, sized at 9/32″ with a 3/4″ length of cut, provides a rigid and accurate solution for finishing in steel and similar materials. Its 4-flute design with a 30° helix angle balances chip evacuation and cutting edge strength, reducing vibration and improving surface finish in free-machining steel.
Equipped with the TiAlN Extreme coating, this tool offers enhanced heat resistance and wear life, making it suitable for steel, cast iron, stainless steel, and some HRSA applications. Its sharp cutting edges, due to the lack of a corner radius, require careful handling to avoid chipping during interrupted cuts. This end mill is recommended especially for free-machining steel and low carbon steel slotting.
Use of this tool on non-ferrous materials is not advised as the TiAlN Extreme coating is not well matched and will degrade quickly. It is designed for applications not requiring corner radius benefits, ensuring optimal performance within its specified scope.
